How our Business English Course will help you
This practical course aims to: • Improve your Business English communication skills in relation to: telephoning, meetings and discussions; presentations • Expand your vocabulary in Business English • Develop your Business English writing skills; e.g. e-mail writing, report writing • Improve your Standard English pronunciation How the Business English Course Is Taught
The course is taught through a combination of tutor led classes in the Speaking and Writing of Business English and online modules in Reading and Listening of Business English.
The Speaking and Writing classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The online modules in Listening and Reading are studied at your own convenience.
Business English Learning Activities
This highly interactive course will give you the opportunity to participate in problem-solving tasks, case studies and business simulations such as:
• Presenting yourself, your own career and company organisation (where ap propriate)
• Looking at aspects of a company's business – e.g. products, services, marketing, finance
• Learning how to make and take business telephone calls
• Presenting facts and figures, graphs and describing economic and social trends
• Using marketing terminology to describe and promote products
Qualifications
The course leads to the BULATS Online Business English examination.

Start dates for Business English
The classroom course lasts for eight weeks.
The online modules in Reading and Listening can be started at any time. You have up to six months to complete the course in preparation for the BULATS exam.
The classroom taught Speaking and Writing lessons have been arranged so you can begin the course on any Tuesday (excluding the week of exam preparation session) and attend the lessons in rotation. Please refer to the classroom timetable below.
